MOST EASY PROCESS: How to make photo/image less than 10kb or some specific least size which is very often for applying online?

Now-a-days for online application various organizations like Indian Air Force, Indian Navy, Indian Army are Seeking photo/image, left thumb impression, Signature etc. with very least size but of good quality, which very unusual for any newbie to computer usage.

I have found a tricky process to make it possible for all candidates facing this problem of applying online.

Requirements: For Windows 7 1> Snipping tool **

2> Picasa Photo viewer *

** Among them snipping tool is default and already installed in windows 7,

If you are not using windows 7 (or windows 7 but starter version) uses FoxArc Screen Capture

* It is free Google software, can easily downloadable. If facing any problem comment me.

Process:

1> first take photo to your pc.

2> Open image with Picasa and click outside of image to not make it on whole screen.

3> now zoom it out with pressing DOWN ARROW on your key board

4> Then open snipping tool or FoxArc Screen Capture and select your picture section and save it in .jpg format.

5> Now open properties of new picture you just saved.

6>if it is yet bigger than what require, Then follow the process from beginning and for this time you have to just more zoom out (Step 3) than what you had earlier.

****NB: More importantly you can do it with onlywith  picassa  because in picasa in edit option you can find crop option to crop image.

WIN 7 POWER PLANS MISSING: RESTORE POWER PLAN

Power plans missing – Restore power plans on Windows 7

Power saver plan on Windows helps you to give longer battery backup by reducing performance of certain hardware components like processor, graphics card, wireless network card etc and turning off devices which are not used. One sudden day my power saver option went missing on my HP MINI running Windows 7. Since the battery backup is drastically reduced when the power saver option is missing, I had to desperately find a fix and here it is :

The default power plans available in Windows are :

• Power Saver
• Balanced
• High Performance

Due to corruption or some other reasons, Windows can loose track of your power plan. And the following screen appears saying “Your power plan information is not available“.

Restore Power plans

Easy way :

Go to Windows start menu

Search for COMMAND PROMPT by searching cmd

It will pop-ups DOS windows….

types there the following..

powercfg -restoredefaultschemes

1. Click Start.
   In the Start Search field, type regedit.exe and then press Enter.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click YES.

2. Locate and then click the following registry sub key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\TrayNotify

3. In the Details pane, click the IconStreams registry entry.
4. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes.
5. In the Details pane, click the PastIconsStream registry entry.
6. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click Yes.
7. Exit Registry Editor.
8. Restart the Explorer.exe process. To do these, follow these steps:
   1. Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
   2. On the Processes tab in Task Manager, click the explorer.exe process, and then click End Process two times.
   3. On the File menu, click New Tasks (Run), type explorer, and then click OK.
   4. Exit Task Manager.
9. Once Explorer.exe has restarted, right click on the clock and choose “Customize Notification Icons”.
10. Ensure that Power is set to “Show icon and notifications”.
11. Click on “Turn system icons on or off”
12. Ensure that Power is set to “On”.

Click on OK and close the Control Panel.

ARRANGE passport photos as quickly before any photo studio able to complete (without any software just spending 5 minutes on internet )

• Step 1

open http://www.makepassportphoto.com

• Step 2

select your country or the expected size of passport/visa photos.

• Step 3

upload your photo.

• Step 4

get 40 copies of photo in arranged manner.

• Final step

now its time to print it out.
